5 Marketing Steps to Help Scale Your Brand

Run an Audit

First, you must run an audit on your overall marketing tasks, process and strategies to gauge if you’re producing the most ROI possible. Start by understanding the overall business needs, analyze current spend, and deep dive into each marketing activity to determine if it’s truly effective.

This will help you understand what’s working, what can be improved, and where you should focus your efforts moving forward.

Improved Marketing Strategies

Create a detailed marketing roadmap with actionable steps that you can implement to grow your brand. This should include updated strategies for social media, content marketing, lead generation, and anything else you deem necessary.

Make sure each strategy is measurable so you can track progress and ROI.

Execution

The fun stuff begins! Start rolling out your new and improved marketing experiments. Make sure to run only 1 or 2 at a time so you can gauge how well they are helping you scale your business. Don’t over do it. A lot of teams try and implement 10 things at once. If you did that, how would you know which is making the largest impact?

Track and Measure

Track and measure everything when you can! My rule of thumb when it comes to growth marketing is = start with data, end with data. This way you can make decisions based on facts and not assumptions. Make sure to track progress against your business goals and objectives. This will help you determine if you’re on the right track.

Scale Revenue

A lot of marketers get caught up in vanity metrics. The only thing that truly matters is what type of revenue are you driving as a result of your marketing? Of course some other metrics are important like awareness, engagement, etc. but remember that the end goal is revenue!

Remember, these are just general steps to get started with brand growth. The most important thing is to keep learning and experimenting until you know what is working the best. Then pour the gasoline on that strategy and watch your 10x marketing ROI come to life!
